Commodore 64-based web server alive and well at CMU

After that title I feel like adding in Jack Palance’s breathy “believe it….or not!”

You can believe it though.  In the midst of all those thousand node megaservers filled with terabytes of space there’s a lowly unmodified Commodore 64, dutifully standing at it’s post, holding up it’s 1.023 MHz candle against the night.

The project happens to be maintained by a close friend of mine and C64 aficionado, and is part of Carnegie Mellon University’s network.

If you get an “unable to load” message or something of the sort, just reload the page and you will eventually get through.  And don’t blame poor Andy.  He’s doing the best he can.
